St. Clements Soccer Association

*** Next Meeting - June 12th, 2017 @ 8:30pm ***

URGENT - REGISTRAR NEEDED!!!

Duties Include:

  • Assist on registration day to fill out forms.
  • Enter players into the AIMS system.
  • Ensure that the fees we pay through SWRSA based on the number of players is correct. (i.e. ensure the number of players in our association kids adds up to the number of players we are charged for)
  • Amend the AIMS system as players are added and removed.
  • The busiest time as a volunteer with the association is from roughly February registration day to beginning of soccer season roughly April.
  • Help other members of the association with their duties as needed.
  • A mandatory one time preparation class with SWRSA at their head office (401 New Dundee Road, Kitchener, ON, N2P 2N8) to obtain access to AIMS and to learn how the system works.

Long Term Player Development

The Ontario Soccer Association has mandated a Long Term Player Development program that every soccer association is required to implement. The complete matrix can be found at here

Below is a list of some of the changes:
  • The U8 will play 5v5 including the goalie and will be playing on smaller fields.
  • In the U8 & U10 divisions, throw-ins have been substituted with kick-ins and off-sides will NOT be called.
  • The U12 division will play 9v9 including the goalie
  • U12 division and under will not have scores kept
  • The term "tournament" has been eliminated and renamed "Festivals"
